Culturhythmics: Cultural Dance and Music Rhythms implemented into Sports Training

Innovation in Sports
Training & Warm-up

Integrating dance and music rhythms
into traditional sports training

By combining physical sports training with the artistic expression of dance and music, the project promotes physical health, mental well-being, and a balanced lifestyle.

INNOVATION

Innovative Practices for Quality and Relevance

By redefining traditional athletic training paradigms to include cultural and artistic elements, the project directly contributes to increasing the quality and relevance of sports activities. This innovative approach supports the call’s objective of boosting the internationalization of sports activities through the exchange of new practices and methods.

COOPERATION

Fostering Transnational Cooperation

The project promotes transnational partnerships by encouraging collaboration between sports organizations, cultural institutions, and educational entities across Europe. This aligns with the call’s aim to develop and reinforce networks of partners and increase their capacity to operate jointly at a transnational level.

CAPACITY

Capacity Building Across Sectors

Introducing cultural components into sports training necessitates cross-sector collaboration, thereby building the capacity of organizations to work transnationally and across different sectors. This interdisciplinary approach addresses common needs and priorities in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport, as outlined in the general objectives of the call.

TRANSFORMATION

Transformation through Cultural Integration

Incorporating cultural elements into training routines facilitates transformation and change at individual, organizational, and sectoral levels. This promotes improvements and new approaches to sports training, contributing to the enabling of change, in line with the call’s objectives.

What are we doing…

Incorporating cultural
elements of rhythms…

I. Foster inclusivity & cultural diversity among young athletes

II. Promote psychological resilience & teamwork through innovative training methods

III. Reduce dropout rates by creating dynamic and engaging sports modules

IV. Develop a curriculum & toolkit for coaches to inspire and engage youth

We worked with…

Young Athletes
& Professionals

Research conducted by the National Alliance for Youth Sports (2023) reveals that approximately 70% of young athletes discontinue their sports participation before reaching adolescence.

The rate of early dropout among young athletes in Europe has been the focus of several studies, but specific dropout rates can vary widely depending on the sport, level of competition, and other factors.

Our initiative seeks to redefine traditional athletic training paradigms by integrating dynamic elements of dance, encompassing somatic techniques, contemporary dance exercises, and rhythmic dance styles, into the training regimens of sports. Central to this initiative is the conception of a multisport training experience, wherein athletes from different professionalization domains converge to engage in a collaborative learning environment.

We are united!

“Culturhythmics Project Team is a proof of multicultural unification that European Union seeks and stands for.”
